The STABLE period... our current Key facility.

The Office of Experiments is currently housed as a temporary facility in a ‘stable’ space, at the rear of Flat Time House, Bellenden Road, Peckham. Flat Time House is the former home of artist John Latham. This is where The Temporary Department of Evenometry will open in September-October 2008.

The right-stable, largely consists of a single volume room with a mezzanine platform in a sound brick building, the space is conceived as both a work in itself, as well as a site of production. Tools and facilities, such as screening monitors, slide projectors, basic workshop equipment, and other basic facilities are being installed. Displays and works, as well as events will be based here.

For the last twelve months May 07-May 08, the Office of Experiments has also created workspace, desks and filing room to support the archiving of John Latham's life, a process led by Simon Gould. The archive project has now received AHRC funding to continue its work within Flat Time House itself, which has just finished renovations. This work is supported by The Latham Estate.
